Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and BillGoat ("BillGoat", "we"). By using the BillGoat app or website you agree to them, to the Privacy policy, the Community guidelines, and the Payments & payouts terms.
1. Who can use BillGoat
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. One account per person. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
2. What BillGoat is
BillGoat is a platform where people post bills and other people choose to pay them. We are not a party to those payments, not a bank, lender, charity, or money transmitter. Payments are processed by Stripe under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which you accept when you set up payouts.
3. Payments are gifts
Paying a bill is a voluntary gift to the poster with no expectation of anything in return. BillGoat doesn't guarantee that any bill is accurate or that funds will be used as described, though we verify what we can and remove what we find to be false.
4. Posting bills
You represent that every bill you post is real, yours, current, and not posted elsewhere on BillGoat. We may require documentation, identity verification, or additional information at any time, and may remove any bill or hold any payout while we review it.
5. Fees
Fees are described on the Payments & payouts page and shown before every payment. We may change fees with notice in the app.
6. Your content
You own what you post. You give BillGoat a license to display it in the app, on share pages, and in promotional material about the platform, and to let other users share links to it. Don't post anything you don't have the right to post.
7. Prohibited conduct
No fraud, impersonation, harassment, sexual content, hate, scams, off-platform payment solicitation, scraping, reverse engineering, or anything illegal. The Community guidelines are part of these terms.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Pending payouts may be withheld or refunded in cases of fraud. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
9. Disclaimers
BillGoat is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of other users. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Before filing, email us — most issues get solved in a day.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept it. Material changes get an in-app notice.
